Fly to Let investors looking for properties in the French Alpine property market are being offered the chance to take advantage of new partnerships between A Place in France Ltd, a UK specialist in the off-plan sale of properties, and two other French specialists.
The UK specialist in the off-plan sales of properties has signed agreements with the award winning ski and Alpine holiday specialist, Peak Retreats & Ski Collection, plus French developer MGM.
Since it was launched 21 years ago Portsmouth-based A Place in France now claims to have become market leader for the sale of new build properties in France and has mainly focussed on coastal locations.
The company’s Managing Director Patricia Fevrier has been keen to expand into the Alpine region for some time.
Fevrier said: “Having talked to Peak Retreats & Ski Collection about its tour operating activities it is clear that there are significant opportunities in the Alpine region for UK property buyers and investors. Our partner’s vast expertise in the ski market is invaluable and I am confident that together we can expand and develop UK buyers’ interest in the region’s potential.”
The news follows hard on the heels of the announcement that A Place In France has signed an exclusive agreement to work in partnership with the French MGM Group, the Alpine region’s biggest developer.
Initially A Place in France will be marketing developments planned by MGM in 15 mountain locations, including the ski resorts of Chamonix, Les Arcs, Les Houches and Les Menuires.
Others are in the ski centre ‘hub’ of Bourg St Maurice and the traditional villages of Samoens and Les Carroz d’Araches. A selection of developments is also available in the beautiful, unspoilt Lake Annecy region, including some on the lake shore.
Peak Retreats and Ski Collection also has strong connections with MGM and its leaseback management company CGH, featuring many of its properties in its holiday programmes.
MGM spokesman Richard Deans said: “Traditionally the UK office has sold around a quarter of the 400 homes on 40 developments sold annually by the MGM Group. Although these figures dipped during the recession, demand has held up and MGM has surpassed its sales target for this year without having to reduce prices by more than five to 10 per cent.”
Currently MGM has more than 100 properties available for sale under the leaseback scheme in ten mountain resorts. The developer also offers around 280 properties for outright sale in 14 sought-after mountain locations and around Lake Annecy.
