MRI Overseas Property has a new portfolio of properties in the Smoky Mountains, a beautiful region of mountain ranges and running rivers in the US state of Tennessee.

The region offers a wide range of outdoor pursuits, including fishing, cycling, and rock-climbing.

MRI is initially offering a range of cabin and condo apartment properties from £150,000.

Morocco on the move
Low property prices, climate, quality of developments and culture is enabling Morocco to compete with the likes of Brazil and Turkey as an overseas property hotspot.

The government has also introduced favourable legislation aimed at attracting European property investors.

But it is the ease of access and flight time from the UK which will be the deciding factor with many new investors believes Rob Shaw, Marketing and Operations Manager for Morocco Properties.

He said: “Marrakech is the most significant market in Morocco and in the last few years has become renowned as a favoured overseas property hotspot. As its popularity continues to rise at a meteoric pace, the general infrastructure is also being improved, paving the way for premier developments and amenities.

It is my personal opinion that Morocco, particularly Marrakech, will become a long-term favourite with those from the UK.”

Last year Morocco welcomed 6.5 million tourists, an increase of 4.5 million tourists since 2001.

On the border
Roja Valley is a refurbishment of an original customs house, on the French/Italian border, into 10 luxury appointed apartments.

The apartments are situated in Liguria on the outskirts of the ancient village of Airole. It has narrow winding streets with a typical Italian atmosphere and has a selection of shops, restaurants and bars.

The town of Ventimiglia is nearby which provides direct access to the main trans-Riviera motorway, running from Nice to beyond Genoa and Monte Carlo is just 20 miles west from here.

Roja Valley is set in extensive landscaped gardens, with river frontage and two sandy beach areas along with a communal swimming pool. Apartments are for sale through RealPoint Property and prices start from just £149,000.

Nicklaus puts his name on resort
Campeche Playa Golf Marina and Spa Resort in Mexico, has invested in a Jack Nicklaus Signature course.

Properties on the development start from £150,000 for 2 bed apartments (overlooking the golf course) or £180,000 for 2 bed apartments (overlooking the marina) and are being marketed in the UK by Bridge Property International.

Within the resort itself, Campeche Playa Golf Marina and Spa has world class fishing opportunities, supported by a marina with 150 slips and yacht club. The resort also houses a health care centre equipped with all the latest technology, Spa area delivering personalized treatments and a museum focusing on the local environment.

But one of the main selling features of the resort is the golf course. An 18-hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus, it enjoys the highest category `Nicklaus Signature'.

The course overlooks and spreads out through mangrove areas, lakes, residential areas, the marina and the beach.

The Atlas Golf Resort in Marrakech is located just 4km from the city centre and has a selection of apartments, villas and riads available. The gated development will also have sports and leisure facilities, commercial centre and an indoor market.

Built in traditional Moroccan styles each property will be set in landscaped gardens, with communal swimming pools and views of the Atlas Mountains.
Prices for apartments start from £62,500 (inc. VAT) and traditional riads are from £208,000 (inc. VAT). 60% mortgages and a comprehensive rental management programme are available. The development is being marketed in the UK by Morocco Properties Ltd.
